Obituary of Adam T. Domanski

Adam T. Domanski, 98, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday March 5, 2018. Born in Manville, he resided in Piscataway for 26 years prior to settling in Middlesex in 1967. He was a veteran of WWII having served in Europe with the 101st Airborne Division prior to his honorable discharge. Adam had been employed as a crane operator for Harris Steel in South Plainfield for 28 years and retired in 1981. Adam was a faithful man who served his church and country proudly. He was a life member of the Manville VFW Post 2290, a member of American Legion, John W. Lupu Post 306 in Middlesex, a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, John Barry Council 2544 in Dunellen, as well as a member of Our Lady of Mt Virgin R.C. Church in Middlesex where he also served as an Usher and a member of their senior group. Additionally, he was a member of the St. Mary's Leisure Club and an avid bowler. Predeceased by a granddaughter; Claire Marie Mariano, Adam is survived by a devoted wife of 77 years, Stella, two daughters; Joan and her husband Tony Mariano of Clifton and Dorothy Putyrske of South Plainfield, five grandchildren; Michele( Doug ) Chapman of South Plainfield, Simone ( Stephanie ) Mariano of Glen Ridge, Karen Putyrske of Port Richey, FL., Chris ( Nora ) Mariano of Ringwood and Mark ( Megan ) Mariano of Fair Lawn. Also surviving are five great grandchildren; Ava and Jack Chapman, Sydney, Victor and Gavin Mariano. Family and friends are invited to join together of visitation on Thursday, Mach 8, 2018 from 4-7 PM in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 and Friday from 9-9:30AM prior to mass. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Our Lady of Mt. Virgin R.C. Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex NJ at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow mass in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Way, Memphis TN., 38105.
