Toms River - Mary Stella Whiteman, 97, passed away peacefully Saturday May 19, 2018 in Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Toms River.
Born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania to the late Martin and Helen Mahalick, Mary resided in Piscataway from 1952 to 2006. After battling back from a serious illness, she relocated to Toms River in 2011. Being the daughter of a seamstress, Mary sewed for her entire family for years and loved her Bingo nights.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank of 50 years and cherished son Frank; surviving are her three children, Martin Whiteman and wife Lynette, Mary Ann Whiteman and Gloria Ryan; four grandchildren, Shawn, Jeremy, Keith and Gabriel and her great grandchildren Caleb, Asher, Alden and Micah.
Visitation will be held be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 beginning at 9:30 AM, with funeral services starting at 10:30 AM in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road Piscataway NJ 08854.
Entombment will follow in Lake Nelson Memorial Park.
