Obituary of Chester Sadowski

Chester Sadowski, 91, of Middlesex, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018 at Rehab at Rivers Edge in Raritan. Born and raised in Somerville, NJ to the late Jacob and Mary Sadowski, he went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He then reenlisted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1949. Chester married Clara DiMura and settled in Middlesex where they raised their family. He was active in coaching his children's little league and is a hall of fame booster supporter of Middlesex High School wrestling. Mr. Sadowski was a member of the American Legion Post 306 of Middlesex. He enjoyed gardening, antiques and was an avid fisherman. Most of all, he enjoyed the quality time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his dear siblings Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years Clara Sadowski, his loving children, Gale Palczewski and husband Thomas, Wayne Sadowski and wife Marianne, Gary Sadowski and wife Carol, and Bruce Sadowski, his daughter in law Gerry Potter, his cherished grandchildren Rebecca (Tom), Thomas, David (Jesse), Andrew, his great-grandchildren, William, Henry, and Josiah, his brother Benjamin Sadowski, and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 8:45AM to 9:45AM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin R.C. Church, Middlesex. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway.
