Obituary of Mary T. Adams
Piscataway, NJ – Mary T. Adams, 69, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her bedside on Friday, November 29, 2024. Born in Elizabeth, Mary lived in Old Bridge prior to settling to Piscataway in 1981.
Mary worked for BJ’s Wholesale Club for the majority of her career and made many close work friends along the way. She enjoyed cooking and preparing for the holidays but above all things, family was her utmost importance. An extremely generous person, Mary would help anyone in need and would go above and beyond for her family and friends. Mary was a kind and patient mom who always put her girls’ needs above her own. As much as she loved being a mom, her true joy was in being a Grandma and hanging with and spoiling her boys.
Predeceased by her father Andrew Hughes, Mary leaves behind her husband of forty-eight years, Peter, daughters; Kristy Ramirez (Danny) of Metuchen and Jennifer Ramirez (Omar) of Hillsborough, mother Bridget Hughes of Old Bridge, grandsons; Dylan, Aiden, Max, Andrew and Benjamin as well as her siblings; Eileen Gough (Bob) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, John Hughes of Edison and Andrew Hughes (Elizabeth) of Milton, DE. Mary will also be missed by her nieces and nephews; Katie Long (Alex,) Tim and Becky Hughes, MacKenzie and Delaney Gough and Robert Adams along with several lifelong friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 501 New Market Avenue, Piscataway for a 10:30am funeral mass. Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, also in Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name may be sent to the Marissa Tufaro Foundation.
