Obituary of Kathleen Keenan
Kathleen Keenan,79, of Middlesex, formerly of South Plainfield, wife of late E. William Keenan, passed away on Saturday September 28th, 2024.
Born in Lakehurst NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles Z. Nagy and Evelyn Marion Nagy (Thompson). Kathleen was a graduate of Dunellen High School continued to earn her degree in nursing from Newark City Hospital. She started her nursing career as an ER nurse and later worked in various roles eventually retiring from Keystone Community Center. It was however her role as a loving wife and devoted mother and Nana that she was most passionate about.
Kathy truly loved her family, extended family and friends which was anyone who was lucky enough to sit at her table and enjoy her excellent cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Keenan; sons, Bill Keenan husband of Karen and Bob Keenan husband of Georgene; grandchildren, Michael, Dominic, Madison, Caitlyn, Liam, Sean and Riley; brothers, Charles Nagy husband to Susan and Roger Nagy husband to Cathy. In addition to her numerous nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.
Along with her husband and parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Ronnie Nagy.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, October 4, 2024 in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 4-8 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the Church of the Sacred Heart, 149 South Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield. NJ 07080, gathering in the funeral home prior to mass will begin at 9:30AM.
Interment will follow mass in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
