Obituary of Lisa Marie Krystopik
South Plainfield, NJ – Lisa Marie (Wilkes) Krystopik, 47, passed away on July 1, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in West Orange to the late Robert and Giovanna (Pecora) Wilkes, Lisa moved to Colonia and was a graduate of Colonia High School. She settled to South Plainfield several years ago.
Lisa and Kenny first met at a friend’s house and had one date. They later reconnected at KC’s Korner in 2000, and have been together since.
In 2008, Lisa started tending bar at Richie’s Sports Bar in Edison and working part-time as an office manager for KLK Trucking in 2017.
An active and devoted mom, Lisa was a class mom for Roosevelt School and a member of their PTO. She dedicated time as a trustee for her sons youth football program, American Youth Football, and was the team mom. She also loved spending time at the beach as well as enjoyed her pool, backyard and garden.
She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Giovanna “Joanna” and cousins Sheri Recchia and Ed Wilkes.
Lisa leaves behind her husband Kenneth, Jr.; son Kenneth III; Brother in law, Kevin and his wife Carly, and sister in law Leslie; nieces & nephews; Ewan, KJ, Anna and Carmen.
She will also be missed by her aunts and uncles, Stan Wilkes and Sheryl, Linda and Joseph Richard Fraser, Ann and Nick Recchia and Edward Wilkes and Barbara; cousins: Tim Fraser, John Pecora, Pete Recchia, Susan McMenamin and Jeff Wilkes, along with a host of extended relatives and many dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Saturday, July 13, 2024 beginning at 1:00pm with a concluding prayer service to be held at 4:00pm.
Burial and committal services will take place privately on Monday.
