MaryEllen Susan Lemire 80, died peacefully with family by her side at her son’s residence in Piscataway on July 4, 2024. MaryEllen was born in Newark to her late parents Dorothy and Amedeo “Matty” Mazzeo. She was born and raised in Newark NJ for many years before moving to Piscataway in 1971 with her husband and son. She worked as a typist at a company in Downtown Newark during the 60’s and ultimately began working with husband Bill when he started his own business called RISE America, specializing in Electrical Engineering Drafting duringbthe 70’s and 80’s.
In her spare time she was an avid bowler averaging in the 140’s in a mixed bowling league with her husband Bill where he bowled at one time a perfect “300” game at Manville Lanes in the 1980’s. She also enjoyed playing cards, handheld video games and loved her pinball with her friends on a weekly basis. Most of her time was shared with her Grand kids and Great grandchildren when she could that she loved dearly. Past President and Lifetime member of over 40 years from The New Market Ladies Auxilary of the New Market Fire Co.#1 in Piscataway from the mid-80’s. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her Mother & Father Dorothy and Amedeo “Matty” Mazzeo who passed away many years ago. Husband William W. Lemire who passed on 5/18/2023, Surviving MaryEllen is her only child: William J.Lemire (Billy) and girlfriend Kim Hamm, three grandchildren Ashley Lemire and husband Mark Trupkiewicz, who are expecting a baby girl in September of this year, Brittany Lemire and boyfriend Bryan Howard, Nichole Lemire and two great grandchildren, Leilani Jade and Legend Jair Matthews.
Known by family as “Grammy” , friends as “MO” and Grandma Melonballs!
Visitation will be 4-9pm Thursday, 07/11 at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway. Services will be 10:00am Friday at Piscataway Funeral Home in Piscataway. Additional visitation will begin at 9am.
