Obituary of Frances Ann Johnson
Frances Ann Johnson, 86, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Robert Wood John University Hospital – New Brunswick.
Born and raised in North Plainfield, Frances settled in Piscataway with her late husband, William, in 1964. She has been a long time resident since.
Frances was a Pharmacy Technician with Somerset Drug Store for 25 years, then Peter Pan Pharmacy in South Plainfield. Here, she worked for 35 years before her retirement in 2018.
A loving woman, her family meant the world to her. Whether it was annual trips to Lavallette in the summer, day trips to amusements parks or water parks, or family car rides, Frances cherished every moment spent with her family.
Predeceased by her husband, William R. Johnson; parents, Victor and Violet (nee Hunt) Fuhrer; and sisters, Dorothy Leigh and Doris Carlson, Frances is survived by her children, Deborah Johnson, Cheryl Johnson, Keith Johnson, and Victor Johnson and his wife, Gerusa Simoes; and granddaughter, Ilynd-Bree whom was the light of her life and enjoyed singing nursery rhymes with her in the back seat on car trips.
She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, and a host extended relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ, on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10:30 AM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home beginning at 10 AM.
Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ.
