Manorama Yedla-Tadepalli Das
13 October 1939 - 3 February 2024
Manorama, daughter of Samuel Yedla and Kanaka Ratnam, was born in Denduluru, Andhra Pradesh, India and moved to the USA in 1971 where she settled in Piscataway, New Jersey. Manorama died peacefully at age 84, surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Manu, as she was known to her friends, family, and coworkers, had a long career working at IEEE for 40 years, retiring nine years ago. In addition to her busy job and home responsibilities, Manu was a woman of great faith, and was an active member of Telugu Christian Fellowship (TCF) and an usher at Christ United Methodist Church in Piscataway. She was socially active and served as President of the Telugu Cultural Center (TCC) (precursor to Telugu Fine Arts Society). She was a life member of TFAS.
Manorama is survived by her husband of 61 years, Yesu Tadepalli Das of Rutgers University and their three sons: Vijay Das (Danielle Das), Vivek Das (Steven Karakatsanis) and Vinod Das (Suzanne Prebosnyak), and three grandsons (Milind Das, Mihir Das, and Micah Das). She is pre-deceased by her two sisters Martha Yedla Prasad and Mary Suvarna Yedla Koppula.
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, 6th February from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Piscataway Funeral Home located at 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854
