Obituary of Elizabeth Peters
Piscataway – Elizabeth “Betty” Peters, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 22, 2023 at Laurel Circle Assisted Living. Born in the Bronx, NY to the late Herman and Ida (Menzel) Gaertner, Betty married the love of her life, Daniel Peters and they settled to Piscataway fifty-eight years ago to raise their family.
She retired from Somerset OBGYN in Bridgewater where she worked as a secretary. Betty enjoyed camping with her family, had a love for animals and could always be found spending time with her family. In her early years, she was active with the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother and liked crafting.
Above all things, family was the utmost of importance to Betty and never missed an opportunity to be with her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Daniel and her brother Victor, Betty leaves behind her loving and devoted children; Mark Peters and his wife Toni Capria of Mays Landing and Angela Craig and her husband Rob of Middlesex. Her three grandchildren; Alexandra, Jared and Jaelyn along with Betty’s sister Evelyn Ficara of Las Vegas will deeply miss her.
At Betty’s request, all services have been made private.
