Obituary of Rose Kokai
Bound Brook, NJ – Rose (Stellatella) Kokai, 102, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023 at RWJ University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in New Brunswick to the late Joseph and Jennie Stellatella, Rose lived in Middlesex for most of her life prior to moving in with her daughter three years ago.
Rose worked for Burger’s formerly of South Plainfield where she was on the assembly line. She had a love for reading and could always be found helping others. No matter the circumstance, if someone was in need, Rose would stop and help.
Above all things, family was of utmost importance, especially her children and grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Stephen, Sr. in 1992, son-in-law Thomas and eight siblings, Rose leaves behind her loving daughter; Margaret “Peggy” (Kokai) McMenamy, son Stephen, Jr. of Pennsylvania, four grandchildren; Kelly R. and partner George, Matthew and his wife Kelly A., Sherri and her husband Ryan and Kim and husband Pat, and by ten great-grandchildren.
