Obituary of Janet Gemenden
Piscataway Township – Janet E. Gemenden, 80, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Bloomsburg, PA, Janet moved to Piscataway in 1963 to raise her family. She was a Registered Nurse and received a master’s degree in social work from Thomas Edison College. She owned and operated Gem Counseling Services and continued to assist the State Police with domestic violence cases.
She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are her children, Randy W Gemenden and his wife Debbie and JoAnn Gemenden. Her sisters, Nancy Harris and Barbara Berg, and her best friend Sue Boerger. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Jaclyn and her husband Michael Lamotta, Randy C Gemenden and his wife Jessica and Jake Weber as well as her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alexa, Vanessa, Griffin and Landon.
Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Piscataway Funeral Home.
