Obituary of Donald DeSilva
Donald “Tippie” DeSilva, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his home.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Emanuela and Donald, he had resided in Brooklyn prior to moving to Middlesex, NJ in 1996 and settled to Lawrenceville, Ga in 2007.
Donald had a love and talent for construction and project management which lead to a lifelong career in those fields.
As a loving and supportive father and grandfather, Donald will be forever remembered as an active father alongside his son Lucas in the wrestling community. He also enjoyed supporting his grandsons and their love of baseball.
He enjoyed great food, a good book, listening to classic rock and was a fan of the Raiders and Mets.
Predeceased are his parents, Emanuela and Donald and his father in law, Richard Stabile. Donald is survived by a large family including; wife, Maryanne (Stabile); son, Lucas DeSilva; daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Fabio Sarrubbo of South Plainfield, NJ; daughter, Michele DeSilva and her partner John Irwin of Bensalem, PA.; son, Donald DeSilva of Levittown, PA.; son, Christopher Koller of NJ.; beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Nicholas, Julianna; sister and brother in law, Donna and John Fedele of Clayton, De.; niece, Carla Fedele of Union City, NJ.; sister, Rosemarie Carosone of Lawrenceville, GA.; nephew, Anthony Carosone of Lawrenceville, Ga.; mother in law, MaryLou Stabile of Staten Island, NY.; sister in law and her husband, Susan Stabile and Dave Dreuding of Minnesota; sister in law and her husband, Diane and Herb Kaplan of Staten Island, NY. and brother in law and his wife, Richard and Filomena Stabile of Staten Island, NY.
Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Michael and Meghan Kaplan, Kristen and Tom Levoyer, Kara Kaplan, Brittany and Joseph Gioscia, Vincent Stabile, Danielle Stabile and Alen Nikezic, Elena Stabile and David and many additional great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in the Church of the Sacred Heart, 149 South Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield NJ 07080
Interment will take place at the family plot in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
