Will always remember all the man holes we worked in from 1971 to 1978. From North Plainfield garage to chimney rock garage. We both left splicing the-same year. I informed Local 827 about Chucks passing. Chuck was a good man to work with, he always had your back and we worked safe. When we did random splices I could never keep up with him. He could spline 300 pairs of wires in a hour. We could {on a good day} - {no water in the man hole] do a 900 pair random in a 8 to 9 hour day

My condolences to Keith and your family! Your father was a good man and I remember he trained me at Verizon’s plant school in South Plainfield when I started for Bell Atlantic. Taught me to pole climb, gaffe and ladders. RIP Mr. Downey
