Obituary of Janice M. Ellery
Janice M. Ellery, 55, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset.
Born in Elizabeth to Alexander and Karolina (Borkowski) Higgins, she resided in Colonia before settling in Middlesex.
After spending many years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Janice has been working as a property manager for Taylor Management Company in Whippany, NJ.
Janice had a smile that could light up a room, and a knack for making people laugh. One of her favorite activities was pulling silly pranks on her loved ones when they least expected it. Janice was also an avid cook, enjoyed crafting, and adored animals, but what she will be remembered for most is how much she loved and cherished her children and family.
Janice leaves behind her two devastated children, Katelynn Vesey-Ellery and Ryan Ellery and his girlfriend, Kelsey Scardigno. She will also be missed by her siblings, Carole Falar and husband Michael, Alexis Billings and husband David, Alexander Higgins and wife Jennifer, and Cheryl Hamaty and husband Frank; nieces and nephews, William Sneedse, his wife Melissa, and their children Emma and Jackson, Christopher Sneedse, Giovanna Falar and Cassandra Hamaty.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 7th 2022 from 3-6:30pm, with a memorial service to begin at 6:30 in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ, 08854.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal charity of one’s choice.
