Obituary of Thomas W. Caswell
South Plainfield - Thomas W. Caswell, 71, of South Plainfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 in Overlook Hospital, Summit.
A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Tom was born in Plainfield to the late, William and Arlene (Johnson) Caswell. Tom grew up in Piscataway, residing in Belle Mead and Somerset before settling in South Plainfield.
An established contractor, Tom had a passion for expressing his creativity through the art of woodworking. He was also an avid fisherman and in his younger years, Tom enjoyed bowling.
Predeceased by his sister, Eileen Caswell and stepdaughter, Christina Michaels; surviving are his wife of 30 years, Carol (Mayer) Caswell; son, Philip Caswell; step daughter, Denise Walker and husband Robert; sister Robbie Rattery and husband Ray; as well as his grandchildren, Alexis, Joseph, and Angelina Walker and Alyssa Michaels and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 3-6PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, beginning at 10:30AM in the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway.
