Obituary of Salvatore V. Quagliariello
Salvatore V. Quagliariello, 65, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset in Somerville.
Born in Plainfield, to Salvatore and Elvassa (Brumbaugh) Quagliariello, Salvatore resided in Edison for most of his life. He recently made a home at Brandywine Living at Middlebrook Crossing in Bridgewater.
Known for his sense of humor and as “little Sal”, he had worked side by side with his family at the family owned company, Oak Tree Bus Company in Edison. He participated in the Easter Seals program of Edison. He enjoyed swimming, the holidays, RCL, Mad Gab and was a rollercoaster fanatic.
Sal was also an avid bowler and had competed in the Special Olympics Bowling League, where he won many medals. Over the years, Sal also enjoyed taking care of his pet parakeets and excelled in all of his passions, but was notably gifted when it came to reading maps and providing directions from memory when traveling.
Predeceased by his parents Salvatore V. Quagliariello and Elvassa M. (Brumbaugh) Quagliariello.
Salvatore will be missed by his Guardian and longtime friends Kelley and John Bostick, along with their family; his dear friends, Donnie Staskiewicz and Gordon Driscoll; Cousin Rita Foster, as well as, many other family members and friends.
All are invited to attend the visitation in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1-4pm.
Funeral Services will be held privately on Monday, followed by entombment, with his family, at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
