Obituary of Malinda C Ranch
Malinda C. Ranch (nee Johnson) was born on November 14, 1954 in Buffalo, NY to the late Albert P. and Laura Johnson. She departed her life on earth on October 11, 2021 at JFK Memorial Hospital in Edison, NJ.
Malinda grew up in Rochester, NY where she attended school and graduated from Madison High School in 1972. She began her working career at Kodak in Rochester. On December 29, 1973 she welcomed her first son, Carlton, into the world. And on July 28, 1982 she welcomed her second son, Renaldo. After working at Kodak, she moved to a payroll position at Blue Cross Blue Shield.
In 1988 she married Alan T. Freeman and in 1990, they relocated to New Jersey with their children.
During the 1990’s Malinda was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She served Jehovah’s faithfully at different congregations throughout New Jersey, and in April of 2018 she became a member of the Piscataway Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Malinda loved Jehovah and was active in the public ministry, taking every opportunity to tell others about the loving God that she served, and all about the good new of his heavenly Kingdom.
As a child, Malinda loved being with her grandmother. It was during these times with her grandmother that she learned to cook, and cooking became one her greatest passions. Malinda was a great cook and baker, and she enjoyed feeding her family and friends with her great meals and homemade pies and cakes. She was a nurturing person that loved her family, and she was sure to take care of her parents when they became ill. She set a fine example for us all. Today we grieve the loss of our dear mom, grandma, family member, and friend.
Malinda was preceded in death by her husband Alan T. Freeman, parents Albert and Laura Johnson, and by her brother Avery Johnson.
Malinda leaves to cherish her memories her children: sons Carlton Clark and Renaldo Johnson Sr. (wife, Jamillah), and her stepdaughter Jonique Freeman. Her ten grandchildren: DaShod Neukirk, DaNaysia Aarons, DaMeir Aarons, Alayah Johnson, Chloe Perkins, Aniyah Johnson, Renaldo Johnson Jr., Dalan Freeman Minor, Brayden Lucas and Alessandra Lucas. Her great-grandchild: Malaysia Grae Neukirk, and a host of cousins, other relatives, close friends, and coworkers.
