John was not only a lifelong friend, he was like an older brother to me. I always remember his cool and calm approach to matters of concern. John and I shared many memorable moments rr as young men during our time in Linden (McKenzie) Guyana. I remembered the freezing day of January 29, 1968 when Neville Voglezon and I arrived at Kennedy international Airport from Guyana, Neville did not have a winter coat, I had an old London fog coat that was given to me by my wife's uncle that I was not prepared to wear until the ice cold air hit me in the face as we exited the plane, I could see the pain and surprise in Neville's eyes and the relief few minutes later when we saw John in the terminal waiting for us with two modern winter coats. That image of my first day in the united states has been and will be in my memory my entire life. Rest in peace my friend, my brother. On behalf of my wife Beverly, my children and myself I would like to express our condolences to Gloria and the rest of the family.

Blessings Gloria, Paul,Chad and all in NJ.
I remember when daddy had a business with his brother in law on Bedford Ave at the corner of Tilden Street in Brooklyn.
It was a gas station. PRIDE. Ride with PRIDE.
That was my first job here in NY. I pumped gasoline and the customers loved that I topped up their tanks.
First job I got fired from also. I was enjoying it so much but his business partners said to him that he should not have his daughter pumping gas.
I still remember that fondly and the quality time it allowed me to spend with daddy every week end.

It is with heart felt sympathy to Gloria, Annette, Bryan, Jean Paul, Chad, and other family members of Wilton John Lacon, that I post this tribute on behalf of the Blair Families in the US and Canada.
Today, we say farewell to a fallen friend. Let me tell you of the character of this man we are burying today. People whom he met liked him. He was a kind and gentle individual, a cool person, easy going and readily approachable. There was immense purpose to his life, and he had tremendous impact on all whom he encountered. He will be sorely missed by us.
Currently, these difficult times have robbed us of opportunity for personal contact, but it has not weakened our resolve to help to comfort the family in their grief. Rest assured, you will be continually in out thoughts, and so will be many memories of John.
Safe journey home our brother. We will all meet again in time.

John was a friend of mine who stayed with my family whenever he came to Georgetown from McKenzie as we lived within walking distance to his girlfriend. I recall attending his wedding. I also worked at Demba and shared a bachelor apartment with him. He will be missed for sure. May his sole Rest In Peace.
