Obituary of Pat J. Vastano
Pasquale known mostly as Pat was born in a town of Capua Vetere, Santa Maria in Naples of Italy. He grew up in a family of two loving parents Giuseppe and Carmela Vastano, and three amazing siblings Carmela, Michael, and Anthony. He came to America when he was 20 years old and lived in Brooklyn where he met his wife Anna of 58 years and went to school to become a mechanical engineer. He worked for a company called National Can working his way up and traveling to many countries as part of his work. He started engraving in his garage when he moved to Piscataway and then opened his own business which was a machine shop named Sigma Engineering in Middlesex, NJ.
He was always generous with everyone and was willing to help anyone. He was very smart, ambitious, and can fix anything. He made it all look effortless and found ways to touch so many hearts. He loved to tell stories about his family, life, and work. He deeply loved his family, friends, and pets. He was religious, loved going to Fatima church for 50 years, traveling, feeding birds, gardening, maintaining his home, watching the Yankees, helping others, making everyone laugh and smile, and most importantly to him spending time with family and friends.
Family are his beautiful wife Anna Vastano, Sons Joseph P Vastano, Patrick Michael Vastano, Daughter Lori Vastano, Grandson Robert L Shallo Jr, many wonderful nieces and nephews, God children, and friends Also pets JB and Bundles
Visitation will be held in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 6-8pm and on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway beginning 10:30am (additional gathering will be in the funeral home prior to mass at 9:45am.) Mausoleum entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge.
