Obituary of William J. Lindorfer, Jr.

Middlesex, NJ – William J. Lindorfer, Jr., 84, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville.  Born in Bronx, NY to the late William J. Sr., and Margaret (Gannon) Lindorfer, Bill settled to Middlesex in 1961.

Bill was employed as an Aerospace Engineer and Program Manager beginning with Grumman, and followed through the employer changes from RCA, General Electric to Martin Marietta, and finally retiring from Lockheed Martin.  He enjoyed fishing, doing word puzzles, watching soccer and in his earlier years, he played semi-pro soccer.

Bill is survived by his wife Rosemary (Egan) Lindorfer and their children; Donald of Middlesex, Jean Sternadori and her husband Douglas of Pennsylvania and Steven Lindorfer and his wife Rozie of North Carolina.  He will be missed deeply by his four grandchildren; Nicole, Kyle, Orlando and Sky, three great-grandchildren; Jack, Ava and Sam as well as his brother Joseph Lindorfer and his wife Mary of California.

Visitation will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday, June 19, 2021 beginning 8:45am.

A 10:00am Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex followed by burial at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
