Obituary of Elizabeth A. Kettyle

Somerset, NJ – Elizabeth A. (Betty) Kettyle, 92, passed away at her home with her loving family at her bedside on June 11, 2021.  Born the youngest of five siblings in Carteret to the late John and Julia (Olah) Varga, Elizabeth moved to Sewaren in 1957, then briefly resided in Fairfield, CA when her husband, Arthur's, job relocated there from 1983-1990 finally settling in Somerset in 2008.

Elizabeth worked for Prudential Insurance in Newark and Merck in Rahway before becoming a stay-at-home mom.  She and Arthur enjoyed many years as part of the Port Reading Seniors and St. Anthony's Parish.

Predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Kettyle in November, 2020, Elizabeth is also predeceased by brothers, John, Stephen and Charles, sister, Helen and son-in-law William Joerg, Elizabeth leaves behind her loving daughters Patricia Joerg of Lebanon and Maureen Blair and her husband Kenneth, Sr. of Piscataway, granddaughter Nicole Blair and her husband James Locascio of NYC, grandson Kenneth Blair, Jr. and his wife Anne along with their son Liam, all of Windermere, FL.  Elizabeth is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4-8pm and on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 beginning 9:00 am.  Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 9:30 am followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Piscataway.  Burial will take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
