Obituary of Josephine Ciccone

Piscataway - Josephine A. “Joanne” Ciccone, 57, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 after a long, valiant battle with cancer. Joanne was comfortable and surrounded by family.

Born in Newark, Joanne was a lifelong resident of Piscataway, NJ. She worked in retail management for 30+ years until the time of her retirement due to illness. Joanne loved spending time at the beach during the summer, shopping and attending sporting events.  She also enjoyed her dog, Rico and spending time with her family and friends.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Ciccone, Rose (Alaway) Ciccone, and her two brothers, Nicholas Ciccone Jr. and Alexander Ciccone.   She is survived by her brother, George Ciccone; three sisters, Rosemarie Ciccone, Beverly Bell and husband Charles and Catherine (Ciccone) Dixon.  She will also be missed by her seven nieces and nephews; as well as sixteen great-nieces and nephews. Joanne is loved and will be missed by all who were able to be a part of her life.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 07080 at 10AM followed by burial in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.

Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7PM.
