Age: 74 * Springfield

Springfield, NJ – Maria Helena (Silva) Neves, 74, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 17, 2021 with her loving family at her side.  Born in Viana do Castelo, Portugal to the late Jose and Alcinda (Pires) Silva, she immigrated to the US, settling in Newark till 1976, Piscataway until 1995 to where she then moved to Springfield.

She was a self-employed seamstress in Springfield.  She enjoyed Sudoku and crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her daughters Sandra and Ana of Rahway and sons Marco and Paulo of Wayne as well as three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, family and friends may gather directly to Resurrection Burial Park for a 12:00 pm graveside service. 

Flowers are encouraged as well as donations - those wishing to send memorial donations, can do so to St. Jude Children’s Research Center or to the Springfield Police/Fire/EMS Departments.
