Obituary of Sabatino De Santis
Sabatino De Santis, 69, passed away on, Friday December 25, 2020 at home in Clarksboro.
Born and raised in Melizanno, Italy, Tino relocated to the United States in 1972.
Tino spent his youth working on farms, in an automobile repair garage, and learned his trade of TV repair. Tino would ride his motorcycle, enjoyed fishing, and played bass guitar in local bands when he was not working.
Tino eventually started a successful TV Repair shop in his mother’s seamstress store in Melizanno.
Once done serving in the Italian National Army, he immigrated to America with nothing more than $20 in his pocket and established a new TV shop.
He was the proud owner and operator of Tino’s TV Repair shop in Plainfield and the greater North Jersey area for over 45 years, an avid Classic Car enthusiast and a devout Roman Catholic.
Predeceased by his parents, Mario and Nicolina De Santis, Tino is survived by children; Daniela Taktikos and her husband Michail of Califon, Sabatino De Santis Jr. and his wife Laura of Stevensville, MD., Salvatore De Santis of Clarksboro, and Mario De Santis of Califon; sister, Maria Perucci of Kennesaw, GA. and brothers, Mariano De Santis of Freehold and Nicolas De Santis of Dallas, GA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Antonio, Gabriella and Gianna De Santis.
Funeral Mass of Tino’s cremated remains will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 10:15am at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ.
Entombment of his remains will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in his name to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center in Flemington, NJ.
