Obituary of Jingfen Bai
Jingfen Bai, 83, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, December 17, 2020 at her home alongside her daughter, Hung Tian, and her husband of 58 years, Zhongwen Tian.
Born in Hebei, China to Yucun Bai and Yuzhen Liu, she went to college to study history, and was a high school teacher for 31 years. After retiring she helped raise her grandson, Bowen Tian, and later on immigrated to America to help raise her second granddaughter, Christina Xue. She will be remembered as an amazing cook, a talented craftswoman who was able to knit, cross-stitch, and make clothes, and a devoted and loving grandmother, mother, and wife, who went out of her way to cook for her family even as her health was declining. To the end, her greatest concern was the well-being of her family members.
Jingfen leaves behind her husband Zhongwen, daughter Hung Tian and Yongjun Xue, son Dong Tian and Chen Yang, grandchildren Bowen Tian, Helen (Xue) Ahn and Joshua Ahn, and Christina Xue, as well as extended family in China and California. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.
A private visitation will be held at McCriskin – Gustafson Home in South Plainfield for family only.
