Steven Sanchez, affectionally known to many as “Steve”, “Paco” or “Puerto Rico” was born January 15, 1970 to Juan and Rosa Sanchez in Bronx, New York. He was the oldest of three children. Steve entered immortality on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
Steve attended PS 122 and JHS 143 in the Bronx, New York. In 1984 Steve relocated with his family to Plainfield, New Jersey. In 1988 Steve graduated from Plainfield High School in Plainfield, New Jersey.
Steve married the love of his life and best friend, Bernadine Prince on August 9, 1997. To this union were born three beautiful children: Steven Corey, Aaron Marques and Celine Marie.
Steve worked for Ewing Lawrence Sewage Authority in Ewing, New Jersey. Steve was also the proud owner of his own Power Washing and Home Improvement Company. Steve was known for handling many jobs throughout the area and was known for his integrity, hard work and great results. He has been a “right hand” to many.
Steve had a passion for sports. His favorite teams were the New York Yankees (Baseball) and New York Giants (Football). Steve also had a love for motorcycles. He was the proud Vice President of The Regulators Motorcycle Club of Plainfield, New Jersey. Steve accepted Christ as his personal savior at Evangel Church in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
Steve loved his family and friends and was also very dedicated. Steve possessed a passion to help others and had a “heart of gold”. Steve was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, kind heart and compassionate spirit. Steve would help anyone he could. Throughout the years, Steve has helped so many in the community, bringing a smile to faces throughout the city. Steve was a proud husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. To know him was to love him.
Remaining to cherish his memories are his wife: Bernadine of Plainfield, New Jersey, two sons: Steven Corey (Skye) of Plainfield, New Jersey, Aaron Marques of Plainfield, New Jersey, one daughter: Celine (Mama) of Plainfield, New Jersey, Parents: Juan and Rosa of Deltona, Florida: Grandfather: Domingo of Bronx, New York, beloved sister: Valerie McCullough (Windslo) of Plainfield, New Jersey, beloved brother: Juan (Wynter) of Deltona, Florida, five sisters-in-law: Kim of Mount Holly, New Jersey, Lisa (Rick) of Plainfield, New Jersey, Yvonne (Steven) Freeman of Browns Mill, New Jersey, Keisha of North Plainfield, New Jersey and Bernadette (Spencer) of Toms River, New Jersey, three brothers-in-law: Derick (Brian) of Pennsville, New Jersey, Tyrone (Karen) of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, Vincent of Mount Vernon, New York. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
