I'm not sure where to begin, nor can believe that I'm having to say goodbye to my friend Carlos. I met Carlos at Quick Chek, as I've been a regular customer for many years, and we fast became friends. His work ethics was above most. In fact, he never seemed to stop moving. Because of this, I was happy any time I could distract him for a short while to share a few words and a good laugh. He was a good man, with a good heart and I'm going to miss him deeply. Needless to say, I could go on and on, but I'll stop here. To his children, family, friends and everyone that loved him...keep loving him...I'm sending up prayers on your behalf. Friend, I'll miss you dearly, but know that we will meet again...someday. For now however, I will simply say...see you later.

Respect. That’s the word that comes to my mind with Carlos. He had the respect of his customers, employees and most important and for most he respected his family. I had the pleasure of working with Carlos at Quick Chek. He helped me out a lot when I first started and I always respect him for that. Carlos will always hold a special place in my heart and I will truly miss you.

Carlos was one of the most genuine people i have been blessed to have known in my life. A humble man. I knew him from my runs in and out of quick chek several times everyday for coffee but always could tell the character he possessed. Such a stand up man. I ran into Carlos eating dinner with his family at an italian restaurant a year ago and could tell how much his family meant to him. I’ll miss you pal. We will meet again. You were the real boss, not me. Rest easy.

Carlos was my 'cuna' . I had witnessed his dedication to his wife, my sister, before and during her grueling battle with cancer. I also saw him as a great father to my niece and nephew. Both were welcoming to me and my family over the years as we visited NY and NJ. He and Juani to me were role models of hard work and dedication to family. I admired them and will never forget them. Frankly, I am at a loss after discussing with him planning to visit after the pandemic. Now, I want to tell him thanks for all of that and hope you may rest in piece cuna.
