Obituary of Barbara A Lockwood

Monroe – Barbara A. Lockwood, 82, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Elms in Cranbury.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, Barbara resided in North Brunswick for five years before moving to the Greenbrier at Whittingham Adult Community in 1987.
Over the years, Barbara was employed with the Schering – Plough Corp. in Kenilworth, I.M. Pei Architects in Manhattan and was the owner and operator of Executive Word Processing in North Brunswick before her career brought her to Merck & Co., Inc. She was employed in the Sales Division for the Metro Region in Somerset and East Brunswick, ultimately retiring in 2002.
After retirement, Barbara worked part time at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s NBAH Blood Center in New Brunswick where she was a Donor Recruiter and Scheduler.
An active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Spotswood and a member of “The Club” since 1955, she traveled extensively over the years with many of her friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Helen Lockwood and sister, Ruth Haus; surviving are her three nephews, Richard Haus and his wife Janice, Kenneth Haus and his wife Joanne and William Haus and his wife Laura; brother in law, Charles Haus; six great nieces and nephews, Thomas, Jessica, Lauren, Amy, Shannon and Danny as well as her great great nieces and nephews, Ava, Jack, Ella and Andrew.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 9-10AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 with funeral services beginning at 10AM.
Burial will follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia NJ.
