Summit - Hope Ann Loeffler, 66, died Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Hope, the daughter of Hank and Carmella Loeffler, was born and raised in South Plainfield where she attended Sacred Heart School and Immaculata High School. She continued her studies in English Literature at Assumption College where she received her bachelor’s degree, and then at St. Bonaventure University where she received her master’s degree.
Hope enjoyed reading, music, and playing guitar. She also frequented the movies and theatre but most enjoyed time spent with her family—especially her nieces and nephews.
Hope is predeceased by her mother, Carmella B. (Donaruma) Loeffler and brother, Joseph G. Loeffler; surviving are her father, Henry “Hank” Loeffler, of South Plainfield, and two siblings: Margaret “Peggy” DePaul and her husband Richard, of Somerset, and Paul H. Loeffler and his wife Nancy, of Bridgewater.
She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Kara, Joseph, Megan, John, Hope, Paul, Rachel, and Sarah, as well as her great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 4-8 pm at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave in South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 9 am in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, followed by a funeral mass at 10 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080.
Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
