Obituary of Richard F. Greco
Richard Greco, of Piscataway, passed away suddenly at his residence on June 25, 2019. He lived in Irvington as a child, resided in Randolph, Sparta (late 80s-early 90s) Rahway (mid 90s- 2017) and his last residence was Piscataway from 2017-2019.
Richard was an owner of several car related businesses - he loved the industry and owned a few Exxon Mobil Stations. His most recent business was Greco’s Automotive in Matawan, NJ, a car repair shop.
He was a conservative / catholic and held a BS in Business. Richard was a few credits away from earning a Master’s degree. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. He loved his cups of morning coffees and going out to dinner; especially his favorites, a Ruth Chris steak dinner, diners, and a good Italian restaurant for a bowl of fettuccine Alfredo. One of his favorites was Ferrara’s in Westfield and Eccola in Parsippany.
He didn’t drink much but on occasion he would have Harvey’s Bristol Cream on the rocks. He loved spending time with his daughter, and closest friends. His favorite dessert was warm apple pie with ice cream or a wet walnut sundae. He was a true old school very simple Italian guy who enjoyed the finer things in life during his mid- years. If he loved you he would do anything for you.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter and son-in-law Lauren Nancy and Joseph Charles Contey and his grandson Vincent James.
Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2-5 pm and on Monday, July 1, 2019 beginning 10:00 am.
On Monday, July 1, 2019, funeral services will be held 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by burial at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
