Obituary of Dorothy A. Machos
Dorothy A. Machos (nee Chernewski), 94, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 26, 2019
Born in Elizabeth, Dorothy settled to South Plainfield to 1955.
She was a devoted homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
She will be fondly remembered by her close neighbors and friends for the various conversations that were held on her front porch.
Predeceased by her husband Henry and her sister Gladys Machos, surviving are her children; Janis Smith (Tom), Wendy Machos (John Houston) and Jeffrey Machos (Sharon Hargey); brother, Albert (Anita) of Manhattan, NY and her grandchildren Jeffrey Smith (Kristen) and Drew Smith.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 1-4pm and Monday, March 4, 2019 from 9-10am in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Graveside services will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery Colonia.
