Obituary of Mary Salzano

South Plainfield - Mary Salzano, 100, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Woodlands in Plainfield. Born in Staten Island, New York, Mary was raised in the Richmond area of the Island before relocating to South Plainfield. For the last twenty years, she has been a resident of Scotch Plains. The family care giver, Mary devoted her life to caring for her mother, brother, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking her family meals and taking care of her home. She will be fondly remembered by those who she was surrounded by. Predeceased by her husband, Salvatore and seven siblings; surviving are her two children, Marianne Salzano of South Plainfield and Vincent Salzano and wife Patricia of Montgomery, TX; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass Sacred Heart Church at 10AM. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
