Obituary of John B. Falvo

South Plainfield - John B. Falvo, 72, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Gizzeria, Italy to the late, Michelango and Elizabeth Falvo, he immigrated to Canada at 7 years old. He relocated to Newark, NJ and resided in Maplewood, Cedar Knolls and Piscataway before settling to South Plainfield a short time ago. An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, John worked as a beautician in various salons within North Jersey he also worked in Joe's Pizza of Vauxhall as a pizza maker. He enjoyed watching T.V. and the time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister, Michelina Abbondandolo; surviving are his wife of 46 years, Diana (Maruca) Falvo of South Plainfield; two daughters, Jennifer Currao and husband Joseph of South Plainfield and Paula Hauser and husband Ken of Hillsborough; siblings, Aurora, Joseph, Mario and Achille "Kelly" Falvo. He will also be missed by his five grandchildren, Ryan, Robert, Kylie, Gianna and Joseph. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart RC Church at 10AM. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Friday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
