Obituary of Natalie E. Dowling

Natalie E. Dowling, 90, of Middlesex, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018 at The Chelsea in Bridgewater, NJ.
Born in New York City to the late Giuseppe and Antonia Picinich, she grew up in Astoria, Queens. She worked at American Can Company where she met James J. Dowling, her husband of 45 years. They lived in Jackson Heights and moved to Middlesex in 1958.
Natalie was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, serving as president for two terms. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed dancing, painting and tennis, as well as spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband James J. Dowling.
Surviving are her three children, Martin J. Dowling and wife Victoria of Flemington, NJ. Joan E. Dowling of Hillsborough, NJ. Delia Ferreira and husband Raymond of Middlesex. Survivors also include eight grandchildren; Julie and husband Matthew Collins, Brian and wife Eileen Dowling, Kathleen Dowling and partner Joseph Mammaro, Laura and her husband Matthew Davis, Leslie and her husband Michael McAfoos, Linda Ferreira and her partner Thomas Bruno, James M. Dowling and Jordan K. Dowling. Natalie was Great Grandmother to Sean, Keira and Kelly Collins and Connor Dowling.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin R.C. Church, Middlesex, NJ.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway, NJ.
