Obituary of Michael J. O'Donnell

McAdoo, PA - Michael John O'Donnell, 60, passed away suddenly at his residence in McAdoo, PA. Born in Muncie, IN to his late parents Joseph A. and Rose Kathryn (Drobel) O'Donnell, he resided in Philadelphia for a short time before moving to South Plainfield in 1964. A longtime resident of South Plainfield, he lived in Whitehouse for several years before moving to McAdoo, PA in 2010. Michael was member of the South Plainfield High School Class of 1973. Most recently, Michael was a welder with Universal Trailer Corporation located in McAdoo. He was previously employed by Buffalo Tank/Bethlehem Steel in Dunellen, NJ and Bell Atlantic in Plainfield, NJ. He was an avid NY Giants fan, loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle (when it wasn't in pieces) and loved attending drag races at Raceway Park in Englishtown. He is survived by his son Michael O'Donnell of Florida, grandson Connor, brother Sean O'Donnell and his wife Rosemary of Point Pleasant and his nieces and nephew; Meghan, Kathryn, Kristen and James O'Donnell. He is also survived by his Aunts; Sophie Drobel and Patricia Hughes and numerous cousins. Visitation will take place in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4pm until 8pm. At the request of the family, burial will take place privately at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
