Obituary of Indra K Sookdeo

Indra K. Sookdeo (Mano), 67, passed away peacefully on May, 31, 2017 surrounded by the love of her family. Born in San Juan, Trinidad, to the late Rajkumar and Samdai Partap Mano, she went on to marry Vishnu Sookdeo, and devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Indra and Vishnu resided in Trinidad for most of their lives, visiting their family in New Jersey often, before settling in Piscataway, New Jersey, in 2006. Indra was the matriarch of her family; always the first person people turned to for guidance and love, she will be forever missed by her entire family. She was known for her delicious cooking, and could often be found in the kitchen putting love into every meal she made. Indra had a kind heart and loved jokes, she enjoyed afternoon talks with friends, and most of all, the quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Indra was a member of the Montrose Pentecostal Church in Trinidad and most recently, Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Middlesex. Surviving are her beloved husband of 49 years, Vishnu Sookdeo, her loving daughters, Romella Seepaul and husband Joel, and Sharon Sookdeo and husband Don Seecharran, her cherished grandchildren, Jaidon and Kristen, her dear brothers ,Madan Mano and wife Matty, and brother Tony Mano , as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with a chapel service at Rosehill Crematory, Linden
