Middlesex, NJ - Mildred G. Daniel, 89, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born and raised in Gordo, AL to her late parents Charlie W. and Rona C. (Pate) Daniel, she moved to New Jersey in the late 50's. She has lived in Piscataway, Dunellen, Bound Brook and most recently Middlesex where she moved in with her great niece Torrey Samer. She worked as a printer for the former Shorewood Packaging in Edison, retiring many years ago. She loved spending time with her family, was active with the First Baptist Church of New Market in Piscataway and volunteered as a crossing guard with the town of Bound Brook. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and shopping with her family. Predeceased by five siblings; Mildred leaves behind her sisters Jane Logan and Ruth Duffy, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews in Alabama and New Jersey, several extended family and friends and her beloved dog Cinnamon. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 4-8pm and on Friday, November 11, 2016 beginning 9:30 am. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday, November 11, 2016 beginning 10:00 am followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery of Samptown located in South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to her church, a local animal shelter/rescue or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
