Obituary of Frank J. Coppola

Frank J. Coppola, 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Newark, Frank resided in Bloomfield prior to relocating to Piscataway in 2006 to be closer to his grandchildren. He was a union carpenter by trade and was the co-owner of Jafco Supply Corp. and Arbor Interiors both located in South Plainfield. He retired three years ago in order to spend more time with his family. He served in the U.S. Army and was member of the South Plainfield B.P.O.E Lodge #2298. Frank was a longtime congregant of St. Valentine's RC church in Bloomfield, but after moving attended mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his world; pizza night, sleepovers, and watching WWE were a regular routine. Predeceased by a brother Tony, surviving are his loving wife Barbara Brennan - Coppola, daughter Bethea Coppola - Rios (Henry) all of Piscataway; son, Paul Ambielli of Keyport; sister, Christine Reis of AZ.; brothers, Joseph (Margaret) and Edward both Piscataway, Peter (Marlene) of Belleville, Robert of Belford, and his "Goobie-Gobbies" grandchildren Francisco and Marina Rios. Also surviving are numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 9AM in the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854. Cremation Services will follow privately. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5-8PM and Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
