Obituary of Peter H Lipowski

Peter H. Lipowski, 67, of Piscataway, passed away at home on June 22, 2016. Born in Zakapone, Poland to the late Jan and Maria Lipowski, he was a member of the Polish National Ski Team, and won two European Cups. As a downhill solemn skier, his talent earned him a position on the 1976 Polish Olympic Team for the 1976 Winter Olympics. Mr. Lipowski moved to the United States in 1977 and was a former resident of Chicago before settling in Piscataway 27 years ago. He had a love of working on cars, and was the owner and operator of V.P. Auto Sales in South Bound Brook. Peter was a honest hardworking man, who was well liked by all, and enjoyed the quality time spent with his cherished family and dear friends. Surviving are his beloved wife, Joan Romanowicz Lipowski, his loving daughter Stephanie Mastrogiovanni and husband Sal of Somerset, his cherished grandson Salvatore Henry, his dear sister Magdalena Lipowski and Bodgna Lipowski, and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 25th 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. Funeral services will be held at 2:45PM at the funeral home.
