Middlesex, NJ Marilyn Anne (Mulligan) Risi, 65, passed away Tuesday evening, June 24, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Queens, NY to her late parents Harry and Teresa (Hildenbrand) Mulligan, she lived in Rego Park, NY before settling to Middlesex in 1976.Marilyn spent her time as a homemaker caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, watching soap operas, Elvis Presley and playing with her grandson Chase. She belonged to Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex and had a love for animals, especially her two dogs Shadow and CoCo.Marilyn leaves behind her loving family; husband Donald R. Risi, son James M. Risi and his wife Lauren of Bridgewater, daughter Kathleen A. Risi of Middlesex and her adored grandson Chase.Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 beginning 8:45 am in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. At the request of the family, cremation will be held privately.
