Obituary of Delia D Ulyak

Delia "Dee" Ulyak, 85, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in South River to the late Manuel Dias and Alice Oliveria (nee Hertzog), she went on to raise her own family in South River, before settling to Piscataway thirty five years ago. Delia was an assembly line worker for Cosmair Cosmetics in Somerset. She enjoyed card games, especially 500 Rummy, and shared quality time teaching her grandchildren how to play. Delia was great at jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed time spent together with her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved fiancé John J. Catalusci, her dear son Tony Ulyak, and her siblings, Gloria Lueck, John Oliveria, and Antonio Oliveria. Surviving are her loving children, Alice Rivera, Paul Ulyak and wife Susan, and John Ulyak, her cherished grandchildren, Ronald, Michael, Alicia (Oscar), Antonio, Deeana, Paula, Oliver, and Manuel, her two great-grandchildren Eva and Olivia, and her dear sister Alice Dolengowski. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00AM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM at Christ United Methodist Church, 458 Hoes Lane in Piscataway.
