Obituary of Kenneth James Smith

Kenneth James Smith, 54, of Piscataway, passed away on January 3, 2018 at Power Back Rehabilitation Center in Piscataway. Kenny was a lifelong resident of Piscataway, graduating from Piscataway High School in 1981, where he was a well-rounded athlete, football player, basketball and softball player. He went on to work for ColArt in Piscataway. Kenny was the "cool" uncle and devoted to his family. He enjoyed fishing, playing horse shoes and was a sports enthusiast, most of all; he enjoyed the quality time spent with his loved ones. Ken truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Ken had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. His big smile will be missed. Surviving are his loving parents Julia Smith of Piscataway and LeRoy Smith of Freehold, his brother David Smith and sister-in-law Elsie Para Smith, his step sister LeeLee Mount and husband Scotty, his nieces and nephews, DJ, Nina, Jess, Joe, Jim, Jamie, and Katie,and his 2 goddaughters Felicia Hawkins and Mariyah Ann Crudup ,as well as many extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00PM with funeral services to follow in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. Cremation Services will take place privately.
