Obituary of Florence P. Bliss

Piscataway, NJ - Florence P. (Putgoosky) Bliss, 86, passed away at Abingdon Care Center in Green Brook on February 1, 2018. Born in Manville to her late parents Audry and Anna (Geldchecki) Putgoosky, Florence has been a resident of Piscataway since the 1950's. For over twenty years, Florence worked as the head chef for the Eastern Star Nursing Home in Bridgewater. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and loved to cook polish food, especially stuffed cabbage. Predeceased by her husband Raymond who died in January of 2005, Florence leaves behind her children; Raymond, Jr. of Piscataway, Liz Nolty and her husband Ricky of South Plainfield and Thomas Bliss and his wife Sherri of Neptune. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Patrick Nolty, Ashley Bliss, Caitlin Nolty and Amanda Bliss. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 7-9pm and on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 beginning 9:30 am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 am with burial following at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
