George Carr was a great neighbor. I doubt if any of the kids in the neighbor thought so. To them he was more like the character played by Clint Eastwood in Grand Torino; "GET OFF MY LAWN". But that was just a front; he was a good and decent man. He had great tools and was very generous in lending them to me. I did my best to bring him up to speed on Cell Phones and Computers but I don't think all of it stuck. I drive by his house everyday and I am sad to think that he won't be there again. I guess the last time I saw him was at the diner; it was the one place he was sure to be on a daily basis. But no more.....

Every morning at about 7:30 George came into the Fountainbleau Diner. His breakfast of choice would be ham and veggie, egg white omelet, his rye toast after he was done with his omelet. And of course his juice and coffee. Although he tried to be stern and maybe a little grumpy he always ended up with a smirk then a smile on his face and a gleam in his eye. We all laughed at his dry sense of humor. George you will be missed greatly. REST IN PEACE.
