Atsuko M. Ginter, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Kumamoto, Japan, Atsuko resided in Jacksonville, NC, Howell, NJ, and Coral Springs, Fl. prior to settling in New Jersey in 2003.
She was a member of the Soka Gakkai and was a superb seamstress.
Atsuko enjoyed reading, knitting, puzzles and was a fan of the NY Yankees and the TV program The Big Bang Theory. In addition Mrs. Ginter loved to sing Japanese song, listen to Elvis, Nat king Cole and Patsy Kline.
Predeceased by her husband, Ronald; parents, Tadashi and Kiyo Maki and sister; Keiko Kidd.
Atsuko is survived by her daughter, Diana Artesona and her husband Alfred; grandchildren, Lauren Ginter, Alfred Jr. and Alyssa Artesona; sister, Yoko Ohashi and brothers, Seiji and Kenji Maki. Also surviving is her great grandson Dylan Windess.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Cremation Services will take place privately.
