Brenda F. McRae, 65, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at in the Arista Care at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield. Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Brenda settled to the United States in 1976. Predeceased by her parents, Marilyn and Allan Roberts, Brenda is also predeceased by a sister, Joan Levesque two brothers, George and Mark Roberts. She is survived by her loving husband Francis " Buster"; sisters, Gail Roberts (Ed Burrow), Janice Bartlett (Ross) and Karen Roberts all of Canada, brother Paul Roberts also of Canada, beloved nieces and nephews, Andrea (Boo), Lindsey, Jessica, Samantha-Brenda, Ian, David, Scott, Christopher and Ryan; special grand-niece, Alexandra and grand-nephew, Dylan. Also surviving are Monica Spooner (Bunny), Lynne Wyckoff, Micheline Bethell, Denise Lacelle and Nancy Ban- who all held a special place in Brenda's heart. Memorial Gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday beginning at 5pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 7:30pm Memorial Service in the funeral home. Entombment of Brenda's cremated remains will take place in Canada. At the request of the family, please refrain from sending flowers to the funeral home and make a donation in Brenda's memory to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad 2520 Plainfield Ave. south Plainfield, NJ 07080 or to the Plainfield Area Humane Society www.pahsnj.org
