Obituary of Jessica Leigh Salles
Jessica Salles, formerly Peterson, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2026, at the age of 41. Born on June 2, 1984, Jessica lived a life full of heart, laughter, and deep connection.
She is survived by her parents, Mary and Wayne, and her sister Jennifer—her best friend in every sense...even with the constant bickering. Only 15 months apart, the two shared a bond that was rare and unwavering. Also survived by her Godmother and Aunt Vanessa aka Nesser, her Aunt Alice and Uncle Bob, Aunt Michele, Uncle Bruce, and Aunt Carol. Predeceased by her Paternal grandparents, Julia and William, and her Maternal grandparents, Mary Ann and Stephen, her Uncle Stevie, and her Godfather Kenny, Jack, Rena and her two dog pals, Zeusy and Oscar. She loved them endlessly.
Jessica had a way of making people feel like family. She was a light in the lives of so many, especially to her best friend Denise, who was like a sister, and Danny, who was like a brother, who she would call Kim or Kimberly all the time. Growing up, she was surrounded by cousins she adored—spending nights filled with laughter and sleepovers and days fishing and swimming, building memories that stayed with her forever.
From her years as a cheerleader to her work as a preschool teacher, Jessica’s energy and warmth never faded. She had a natural gift with children, and the kids she taught absolutely loved her.
She was also a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, bringing her signature passion and humor to every game—whether people were ready for it or not.
Jessica’s passing has left an unimaginable void. It still doesn’t feel real. But what remains is the love she gave so freely and the mark she left on every heart she touched.
