Obituary of Mae Kam Leung
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mae Kam Leung who left this world peacefully on November 18, 2025. She was 94 years old.
Born in Taishan, China, she built a life defined by kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit and warm smile. Up until the end Mae maintained her kindness, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful experiences.
Throughout her life, she was devoted to her family above all else. She is survived by Chew Leung, her son, Fee Leung (Janet), her son, Kwan Leung, her daughter, Jen Leung, her daughter, and two grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly. Her legacy of love and generosity lives on in each of them.
Mae was a hard working immigrant that successfully made a better life for her children. She worked as a seamstress and managed the family laundry despite many hurdles. She exemplifies resilience, tenacity, and the ‘can-do’ attitude. Mae also never lost sight of enjoying life; she was an avid gardener, and loved spending time with friends at the senior center and church. She found joy in simply reading the papers, walking in the sun, watching the Yankees, drinking her McCafe, and eating sweets. Mae was loved and will be missed.
A visitation will be held at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 PM.
Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, November 29, 2025, beginning at 12 PM.
Cremation Services will be held privately.
