Obituary of Robert M. Price

Robert M. Price, of South Plainfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Newark and raised in Cranford by his parents, Al and Claire Price. 

Bob leaves behind his devoted wife of 51 years, Dale Price (Carrick), who stood by his side through every chapter of their life together. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Cara Malecki and Ryan Price, his son-in-law Scott Malecki, and daughter-in-law Corina Price. “Pop-Pop” will be forever cherished by his grandchildren, Mason and Savannah Malecki, who brought him immeasurable joy.

He is also survived by his brothers, Michael and Greg Price. Also, his loyal dog Gus, and his grand-pup Tennessee who were constant companions that brought him comfort and laughter.

Bob was a man of many passions. A true lover of books and music, he especially cherished jazz and classic rock. He found joy in playing guitar himself, losing track of time as he strummed the songs he loved. Bob found peace in the quiet rhythm of fly fishing, where he could cast a line and feel completely at ease. A creative spirit, he also enjoyed home brewing, crafting beers that were as unique and thoughtful as he was.

Above all, Bob will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle strength, and the unwavering love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the deep connections he created with lifelong friends and family.

He will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.

A Memorial Gathering for relatives and friends will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4-7pm in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
